Zakiyah joined NJ ECC in February of 2020 as an Activity Therapist and now holds the position of Assistant Director, Ramsey location.

In 2004, she attended the University of Phoenix in Jersey City working towards her degree in Business Administration. In 2009, Zakiyah began working in a group home with individuals with disabilities as a DSP. Shortly after, she became the Group Home Manager, turning a home that was about to get shut down into a fully functional group home. She has received many accolades for her work including written articles, awards for employee of the year, and special recognition from the CEO.

At her current role of Assistant Director of Ramsey with the NJ ECC, she makes sure that the Director has everything needed to ensure things flow as smoothly as possible. She works both behind scenes and hands on, executing tasks in the most effective and professional way possible. 

Zakiyah is grateful to be at the NJ ECC and looks forward to continued growth with the team.
