Prevocational & Supportive Employment Services

Our prevocational services teach our individuals the skills needed to be employed.  These services touch on anything from appropriate dressing for work, communication in the work place, resume building and completion of applications, as well as job skills such as money and time management, and looking for volunteer opportunities as well as long term employment.

Supportive employment is the continuation of Prevocational.  When all these mentioned skills are mastered, our individuals move into our supported employment program.  During supported employment we work directly with our individuals to look for jobs in the community setting, and compete the interview and hiring process.  We will stay with our individuals through the entire process and assist them when they first start to work, and as needed through their job placement.  We slowly fade out of their work schedule to help foster their independence but are always being nearby for assistance.
